Sorrowful Anniversaries and Hibernating Grief
My heart goes out to all of those who lost loved ones on that horrific day back in 2001. Today may be just as punishing for you. These types of sorrowful anniversaries have a tendency to awaken what has lay dormant in us and solicit feelings of tremendous agony. The grief kicks us in the gut and whispers, “You thought you were rid of me but here I am again.” My heart breaks for you too.
It is important for you to acknowledge that in these times of mourning and grief, taking special care of yourself is absolutely necessary. If you are able, I urge you to share your feelings of loss with loved ones. If that doesn’t feel comfortable, write down your thoughts.
Resolve, The National Infertility Association, provides a great number of support options for those facing infertility. Connecting with a community may decrease the sense of isolation you may be experiencing at this particular moment/time.
Once your anguish has settled into its reverent place, my hope is that you will ready and prepare yourself for your future children.
Peace, my Friend.
